Where did Genius come from?

"It's June 16th 2015, a Tuesday evening, around 6PM. I sat at my computer and started to code. I was on a mission to create the very best Training Management System in the world. I have been an Entrepreneur and coder my entire adult life and I had this idea while on vacation in Mexico. So for the next 2 years I coded, day and night, 18 hour days, 6 days a week..

The rest, as they say is history.. "

Carl Downs is a multi-award-winning British serial entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio, Carl successfully launched ventures across sectors including jewelry, automotive, nightclubs and hospitality, sales, IT, and software, among others.

With over 35 years of entrepreneurial experience, Carl has built a reputation as a visionary and innovator. From pioneering software solutions in the insurance validation sector in the early 2000s to establishing the UK's largest training brokerage service, Carl’s career is marked by ambition, perseverance and pure tenacity. Carl is at the forefront of Genius LLC, a US software company which developed the Genius Training Management System, which has clients worldwide.

Carl openly acknowledges that his entrepreneurial journey has included significant challenges.
Reflecting on his experiences, he emphasizes that setbacks have provided the most valuable lessons: "I have learned more from mistakes and loss than from success." The global financial crash of 2008 was particularly tough, leading to substantial personal and professional losses, including his home and first marriage. Despite these hardships, Carl demonstrated remarkable resilience and tenacity by founding the UK's largest training brokerage service just two years later.

Today, Carl leads Genius LLC, a thriving business now approaching it's tenth year. Under his leadership, Genius is spearheading the integration of AI into its platforms, positioning itself as an innovator in technological advancement.
Looking ahead, Carl is enthusiastic about the immense innovation anticipated over the next five years, describing it as the most significant period of technological growth in recent history.
